Having enjoyed last year’s event, I returned to participate in the Cyber Apocalypse 2024: Hacker Royale CTF (Capture the Flag) competition hosted by Hack The Box.

SANS Holiday Hack Challenge 2023

Between December 7, 2023 and January 6, 2024, the SANS Institute hosted the SANS Holiday Hack Challenge & KringleCon 2023, open to anyone to participate for free. This was the second year I participated.

Relic Maps walkthrough - Cyber Apocalypse 2023

Hack The Box Cyber Apocalypse 2023

In March 2023, I participated in the Cyber Apocalypse 2023 CTF (Capture the Flag) competition hosted by Hack The Box. The event took place between March 18, 2023 1pm UTC and March 23, 2023 1pm UTC and was open to anyone to participate for free. There were 74 challenges in total, ranging from ‘very easy’ to ‘insane’ difficulty ratings, spread across a broad range of topics:

SANS Holiday Hack Challenge 2022

Between December 6, 2022 and January 6, 2023, the SANS Institute hosted the SANS Holiday Hack Challenge & KringleCon 2022, open to anyone to participate for free. Similar to previous years, the challenges were structured around a holiday themed story where Santa’s five rings of power had been stolen by Grinchum, whilst the KringleCon virtual conference talks were viewable online.
